Join Tash and Benji for a slow autumn afternoon on their farm just outside Tenterfield.
When you arrive you’ll be welcomed with a warm drink and something sweet before setting off on a gentle walk around the farm. You’ll wander through the vegetable patch, visit the chickens and talk a little about what’s growing as the season shifts into autumn. Along the way you’ll see the cattle grazing in the paddocks and hear about the small steps they’re taking as they learn more about regenerative farming and caring for the land.
After the walk you will gather at a long table set in the paddock for a relaxed seasonal high tea. Expect warm scones, autumn cakes, savoury tarts and simple dishes inspired by the garden and the surrounding region, served with tea, coffee and good conversation. The outdoor fire will be going, and anyone who feels like it is welcome to toast a marshmallow.
Held during the Tenterfield Autumn Festival, this gathering is a chance to step just beyond the town and experience the beauty of the season on the land — crisp air, autumn gardens and a table shared in the paddock.
It’s a small and intimate gathering designed to offer visitors a glimpse of life on the farm and the quiet beauty of autumn in the countryside.
